This site is in rural area and is mostly seasonal campers, but the manager is very accommodating and wonderful to work with. We were there for 2 weeks and did enjoy our stay. Not much to do here, but great place to stay for the weary traveler.
This place is great, want to go to a place that is real this is it. If I explained it would take to long. Just to let you know the staff is great so are the people, came in with no res. and the campground was booked by a club. They came up and told owner if we wanted to stay it was ok. If you only knew the story. Just come and stay you will find out. I will buy this and keep it the same. It’s great.
Stayed here last night. It was quiet by the time we were ready for bed. No one else was there except a family that appeared to be living there. It was $17 with Passport America. The spaces are narrow. I couldn't use the wifi because there was no one there to give me a password. We arrived at 6pm. Most spots might be diffficult to maneuver into. The dump hookup wasn't great. It could probably handle a slow flow but overflowed when we dumped instead of leaving the drains open. Had to wait several times for the pipe to drain and just add a little grey water at a time. Other than that, it was fine for a night. We would stay here again.
Nice RV park in a very quiet area. fast food restaurants or stores are around 20 mi away. Amenities state there is a heated pool but there is no heated pool on the premises. About 2 mi away is another property that has a pool and it's $12 per person.
Quiet, peaceful little rv spot. simple, easy registration, easy on/off from highway. If you are self-contained and don't need a showerhouse/bathroom it is just fine. Very small town so have your supplies with you.
This place is not as bad as people make it. It is a little shabby but has a nice pool area, petting zoo, etc. I stayed at site 20 which was a long and level pull thru. Neighbors were friendly but some of their sites were very messy and not kept up with. If I were to come back and visit I would request a site between 113-146. It just seemed tidier over there. Overall the place was as quiet, friendly and in a great location to visit Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Caverns. I would absolutely stay here again.
We stayed one night park was quiet, clean and easy in/out. We will be back.
Quiet campground beautiful trees.
Quiet peaceful campground located by river.
Nice & quite campground. Owners are very helpful.
Great Clean Park. Huge bathroom with nice showers. Denise and DW take good care of the park. We will be back again. Thanks!
Had a great experience. Not too far from the city. Nice size dog park, spacious lots, nice club house. Toilets were clean! Showers were nice as well. Has a little trail to hike in the back. Pool was clean. The definitely live up to the name “Hidden Valley” I would absolutely come back!
I actually arrived at this park by mistake late at night, I was supposed to go 30 minutes up the road to a neighboring town. I dropped the trailer and fully settled into “my spot” when this super nice polite lady came over and informed me I was in the wrong spot. I was so upset and exhausted from the drive. Expecting to relocate my entire camp and family at 11pm she allowed me to stay and honored the PA discount as well. This is park Cactus Rose is fantastic- SUPER CLEAN, polite staff, beautiful decorations, warm & clean pool, beautiful club house, spotless bathrooms and showers, and they even sell fresh chicken eggs! What a beautiful texas southern hospitality experience. Couldn’t be happier. Wish I could go back and stay longer! 5 stars!
One of the best campgrounds I’ve ever been to. Immaculately clean and friendly staff! We can’t wait to visit again!
Visited July 5, 2023. very nice and clean. No trees, no shade at all. concrete slabs. very quiet. Big new nice individual bathrooms. Very friendly. The PA price on line says $22.50. The park charges $25.00 plus $2.50 tax. However, would definitely return.
Great stay! Facilities were clean, pools were very relaxing. They have many activities for those who enjoy that. Mineral showers and sauna are a nice add in addition to the pool tables.
Very nice new campground near Capitol Reefs. Has reserse osmosis water for hookups! Near the Freemont River for play and scenic walks. Very nice stop over between Moab and Capitol Reefs. Big sites with lots of improvements and work put into this new campground.
Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of June. Small private campground on the North Platte River. Owners are on site and very nice, Wonderful hospitality Caught 2 nice Catfish in the river. Town of Glenrock about 8 miles away. Cute small town with good food, great dinosaur museum, and great entertainment on Friday night in the town square. We will definitely return our next time driving through Wyoming.
Please do not overlook this RV Park. We were fortunate to get the last site. Enjoyed the large trees that provide shade and/or partial shade at different times of the day. As we have found on this trip, rates have not been updated on RA. We paid $60 for Sunday and $30 for Monday. Would definitely stay again.
Very nice, quiet campground. 2 fishing ponds and a swimming pond. Was there during the week. Many activities on the weekends when there are more people. Great hot water in the showers. Felicia sp?) one of the owners I think is very friendly and helpful. Always on the property working somewhere. Will definitely be back!
